Classic Klondike Solitaire
The world's favorite patience game, free in your browser. Build the four foundations from ace to king, flip tableau cards as you go, and choose draw-1 for a relaxed game or draw-3 for a challenge.
How to play Solitaire
Stack tableau cards in descending order with alternating colors, and move aces up to the foundations. Only kings can fill empty columns. Turn stock cards to find what you need — the game is won when all 52 cards reach the foundations.
Hints, undo, and auto-complete
Stuck? The hint button highlights a legal move, undo takes back any number of moves, and once every card is face-up, auto-complete finishes the game for you while the timer records your best runs.
How to Play — Step by Step
- The board deals seven tableau columns; only each column's top card is face up.
- Move cards between columns in descending order with alternating colors — a red 7 goes on a black 8.
- Flip hidden cards by clearing the face-up cards above them; only a king may fill an empty column.
- Click the stock to draw (choose Draw 1 or Draw 3 in the gear menu) and play the waste card when it fits.
- Send aces to the four foundations, then build each suit upward — double-click a card to send it up automatically.
- Win by moving all 52 cards to the foundations. Use Hint when stuck, Undo freely, and Auto-Complete once everything is face up.
Strategy Tips
Play aces and twos to the foundations right away, but leave other cards in play as long as they're useful. Prioritize moves that reveal face-down cards or empty a column for a king. Draw from the stock only when you're out of tableau moves, and plan a few moves ahead before committing.
